Great
Features for Your Benefit! |
| This is new and current first quality stock, Kayak 2 piece
take-a-part paddles made by
Carlisle. These are the Carlisle Day Tripper Paddles. They are
fully featured kayak paddles in the basic materials, giving you all the
benefits of a good quality paddle without the big price tag. These
have aluminum shafts with black poly blades, and that is the cost
savings. From there, they are built very correct with the great
spoon shape blade, cut to have maximum entry with shallow strokes and
surface area through the stroke. The features don't stop
there. They have the left and right adjustments for offset or
"feathering angle", and the right hand position is slightly
flattened called indexing, so you know the location of your paddle without
looking at the blade! These are very light weight too for an entry
level paddle. We don't like anything real heavy! These are available in
220cm, 230cm, and 240cm lengths. |
| Paddle Measuring
Tip! - Kayak Paddle Lengths are measured for
the boat not the paddler. With most recreational boats ranging from
9'6 to 16', these come in the 220, 230 and 240 centimeter lengths, so the
short boats under 11 feet are good with the 220cm paddle, the 11 to 13
foot boats are good with the 230 cm, and the 13'8 through 16' kayaks are
good with the 240 cm. Longer paddles give more leverage for turning
longer boats, as the little boats do not need the length for that
leverage, so smaller is less cumbersome. (Want to use a kayak
paddle for your small canoe? It has been done. Longer is
better in this case due to water drip and distance across the boat being
greater in a canoe.) |
- Great light weight kayak paddle that is durable, in a take a part
design for easy packing in your kayak or your rig (car)
- Great surface area in this spoon shaped blade design for good movement of
water per stroke
- Offset or Feather Angle feature for setting the blades 60 degrees
either direction
- Flattened on the right hand surface area for indexing, to help you
locate your paddle angle easily without looking at the blade
- Great features in blade, shaft, and weight for our Ozark River
Company endorsed choice!
- An entry level price that is easy on the pocket book!
- Carlisle quality for lasting enjoyment, an Old Town Canoe sister
company
