Table Rock Lake Fishing Report
Table Rock Lake Fishing Report on July 8, 2009
Lake level 916.7 Water temp 82 degrees.
Fishing is generally pretty good all around the water temp was 92 a week ago but has dropped to 82 up the river arms.
Bass fishing is good all over down lake night crawlers on a drop shot rig in the 40 ft zone on long tapering points is producing some nice Kentucky’s and small mouth. Up the river arms there are still some bass in a foot of water around bushes and some are being taken as deep as 20 ft on points. You can use a multitude of baits right now. Plastic worms, jigs, crank baits, shakey heads and drop shots. Take your choice, they are all producing numbers of large mouth and Kentucky bass.
White bass are every where up river and down lake chasing shad. Some days they are up on points in 15 to 25 ft zone and other days they are suspended up under the shad out in the channel . Spoons will take the bulk of the fish but when they come up chasing shad you can have a lot of fun with a chug bug or pop R.
Crappie have been slow but I saw one angler trolling a small crank bait in the channel up the river and she caught several nice crappie.
Blue gill are going to town on main lake and secondary points in 15 to 25 ft of water. The key is to use small hooks with a piece of night crawler or a cricket and hang on . Get out there while there going strong,
Good Fishing
